The Airfest is a community event intended to increase awareness of the benefits of the airport, by bringing the community together for a fun filled day with many activities. ![]() Scheduled AttractionsAirfest is kicked off with a pancake breakfast served by Citizens Hose Company from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Helicopter, classic and conventional airplane rides were offered at last year's Airfest. A classic 1936 C17 B Beechcraft Stagger Wing plane provided rides as did a 1942 Boeing PT-17 Stearman plane. Several conventional airplanes were also available for rides. Brought back by popular demand was Classic Rock Revival who performed their classic tunes and members from Millbrook Playhouse performed during the band's intermission. Bear Country Wranglers also perform to the delight of everyone. Balloons by Mr. T (Phil Taormina) delighted children of all ages with his balloon sculptured animals, hats and flowers. Face painting was provided by Downtown Lock Haven, and crafts for kids were presented by the Ross Library. A simulated vehicle crash extraction demonstration was held by members of the Lock Haven Fire Department and the kids truly enjoyed the Children's Water Battle. New last year was the RC model airplane demonstration presented by the Wings of Williamsport RC Model Airplane Club. Arts and craft vendors were on hand selling a variety of items including woodcrafts, candles, soaps, quilts and hand-crafted jewelry. The Ross Library will hold a book sale and there were a variety of sponsors and service organizations on hand, including the PA Fish and Boat Commission, Wings Over Williamsport, Piper Museum , and the Clinton County Solid Waste Authority. A wide array of food and other refreshments were offered by local organizations and commercial vendors, and courtesy of the Pennsylvania Street Machines, a number of antique vehicles were on display for the public's enjoyment. Airfest would not be possible if it wasn't for the many sponsors helping to underwrite the event.
