The City of Lock Haven Recreation Department in conjunction with Keystone Central School District sponsors the summer recreation program.

The following playgrounds have supervised activities form 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon Monday through Friday and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning June 21 and ending August 20:

Piper-Harmon Playground
Hoberman Park Playground
Hammermill Playground
Bennage Heights Playground

This department is also responsible for the swim program at the City Beach located along the Susquehanna River. The City beach operates from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday from June 21 to August 20.

An annual arts and crafts fair, organized by the Recreation Dept. is held on June 26, 2010 at Triangle Park in conjunction with the Best of Clinton County Festival.

Permission is required for all group activity at the parks by contacting Jack Bailey at (570) 893-5612. The use is free; however an agreement must be signed beforehand. General picknicking and general recreational activities at the parks and playgrounds does not require prior approval unless it is with a large group when other activites are scheduled. Pavilions at Hanna Park are not reserved because there is no fee charge. These are first come first served.

Use of the floating stage requires a fee beginning at $50, depending on the type of electrical service needed.
