The City of Lock Haven operates the William T. Piper Memorial Airport, a General Aviation facility located at the eastern end of the City. The Airport has a paved runway measuring 100'x 3,800', a runway lighting system and paved taxiways and tie down areas. It also has a turf runway measuring 100' x 2,200'. The facility includes 27
T-Hangar spaces which are leased for airplane storage.
Our facility now offers a flight planning room with internet access, an automated weather report accessed by 3 clicks on the Unicom frequency (122.8), and pilot supplies.
The airport is open for FBO operations including fuel
service from 8:00am to 6:00pm M-F and from 9am to 5pm Sat. & Sun during the
winter period from Nov. 28, 2009 through March 31, 2010. After hours service may be arranged by contacting
the airport manager - a $20.00 call-out fee may be assessed. FBO services
are closed on major holidays and extreme weather events.
The types of fuel available include Jet A currently selling for $4.20 per gallon and 100 LL aviation currently selling for
$4.30 per gallon, each with a 10 cent/gallon discount for cash.
A courtesy car shuttle is available for visitors who need transportation to local restaurants, lodging, LHU, or local attractions such as the Piper Aviation Museum, downtown, etc. In addition, rental cars are available locally through Enterprise Rent-A-Car (www.enterprise.com) or by contacting them by phone at (570) 748-3669.
The City also offers office space for rent and maintains two hangars of approximately 10,000 square feet each which are available for airplane storage or light commercial airport-related uses. The Airport also has an aircraft sales business on the field.

The City is currently leasing land ($1,800/acre, annual cost) at its Airport Business Park, located on the south side of the William T. Piper Memorial Airport. The park contains 14.75 acres and is a Keystone Opportunity Zone (KOZ).
