Triangle Park

Bellefonte Avenue & West Main Street, Lock Haven

Consord Sounds, a seven piece swing band, has been keeping alive the sound and style of the bid band era in the tri-county area, and beyond, since 1976.  Founded by Glen Hosterman, and now led by Lou Lantz, featuring some of the finest musicians from Lock Haven, State College, and Bellefonte.

Consord Sounds has performed at the Central  Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and the South Hills Summer Music Picnics in State College, the People's Choice Festival in Boalsburg, and at Triangle Park the past several summers, as well as parties and dances all over Central Pennsylvania.

The great tunes of Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Harry Warren, Alec Wilder, and other masters of the American popular song tradition, performed in joyous swing style, comprise the program Consord Sounds will present.  This will be "the music of your life," without the commercials!

Pianist Gordon Law, bassist Neal Holter, and master percussionist Dan Armstrong join saxophonists Joe Alessandro and Bill Holl, trombonist Mike Loewen, and trumpeter and vocalist Lou Lantz in this concert of favorite songs.  There is also the possibility, almost certain, of the appearance of the infamous vocal ensemble, the "OK Chorale."  And, for those who cannot resist the urge to dance, the sidewalks await!
