Water and Jay Streets, Lock Haven, PA
The
Cliff Turner Band, formed
early in 2008, brings together a fun group of musicians whose musical tastes
are irrevocably locked
in the 60’s and 70’s. We put our own touch on R&B, Soul, Funk,
and Classic Rock. This is Cliff’s newest endeavor.
Enjoy favorites like “634-5789” by Wilson Pickett ,
“Brick House” by the Commodores, “Cut The Cake” by the Average White
Band, “Givin’ It Up For Your Love” by Delbert McClinton, “I Feel Good”
by James Brown, “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green, “Miss You” by
the Rolling Stones, “Pink Cadillac” by Bruce Springsteen, “This Time
It’s Real” by Tower of Power, “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye,
“Smooth Operator” by Sade, “Soul Man” by the Blues Brothers and many
more.
Cliff Turner has been doing his ‘thing’ for several
decades and has led
or played
with numerous groups around the area. He lends his multiple-style bass
beat and vocals to the mix. Clinton
County
has three of its own in the group. John Agostini plays tenor sax
and adds bass guitar and utility percussion on several tunes. Duane
Eberhart performs the multi-sax role and adds some vocal lines. Jim
Kelly is our seasoned
guitarist who also has a long history of playing. He also leads us on a
few songs with his vocals.
The
rest of this dynamic group live in the Centre County and have been playing for years. Greg Elliott lends his solid drumming
talents and his voice on a few ‘boss’ tunes. Liz Lasher lays out sweet
keyboard lines, adds some harmonica, and sings out on a few tunes as well.
Lead singer Mickey Tomasetti puts an ‘S’ in smooth and saucy with her
vocalizations. She handles much of the utility percussion and assists on
drums.
